From time to time Impellus is able to provide employers with funding for leadership and management development.

We’re currently delivering against the Development Initiatives shown below as well as a matched funding initiative for employers who want to develop key people using their own choices of learning.
We’re also handling enquiries about upcoming changes to the apprenticeship programme. We’ll be posting further information on this when we have it.

The Regional Development Initiative
Up to £50,000 funding per employer for management and leadership development.
A funded initiative to develop managers and leaders across several regions of the UK – from line managers running teams right the way through to the executives who build and lead the organisations that create opportunity in challenging times.
Available only to organisations with between 15 and 1,000 employees based in the regions specified. Employers from the private, public and not-for-profit sectors are eligible.
The deadline for applications is 5.00pm Friday, 23 January 2026 unless the total fund is allocated in advance.
Matched Funding Initiative
Matched funding (50%) for UK employers who are looking to deliver the management and leadership training that best suits their specific requirements.
Funding can cover most training requirements. See page for details.
Open to UK employers from the private, public and not-for-profit sectors with 30 or more UK employees.
The deadline for applications is 5.00pm Friday, 30 January 2026 unless the total fund is allocated in advance.
The South East Development Initiative
Up to £50,000 funding per employer for management and leadership development.
A funded initiative to develop managers and leaders in the South East of England – from line managers running teams right the way through to the executives who build and lead the organisations that create opportunity in challenging times.
Available only to organisations with between 15 and 1,000 employees based in the counties of the South East region. Employers from the private, public and not-for-profit sectors are eligible.
The deadline for applications is 5.00pm Thursday, 12 February 2026 unless the total fund is allocated in advance.
