Social media encourages us all to develop ourselves as a brand.  It rewards us for developing a consistent theme, attitude, colour, imagery; or a particular style of writing or speaking.

What is a brand?

The definition is: A unique design or symbol that identifies a product and differentiates it from its competitors. Over time, this image becomes associated with a level of credibility, quality, and satisfaction.

So how do you seek to portray yourself? Developing a good brand can take you a long way – expressing credibility, quality etc.

Ultimately, though, you are a person who will thrive best through real connection with other humans.

So remember to include real connection in your personal brand.  It will not thrive if it is purely developed on fancy imagery and hype.
