Tiffany first joined Impellus in 2023 as a Leadership and Management Assessor and recently took on the new role of Learning and Development Partner, working closely with customers to help analyse their training needs and provide solutions.
What’s your main role at Impellus?
As Learning and Development Partner at Impellus, my number one priority is to build strong partnerships with our customers. I work closely with organisations to identify areas for improvement and focus on a clear learning and development journey, not only for the individuals but the organisation as a whole.
What do you find most rewarding about your work?
Working closely with our customers and really getting to know about them and their organisation’s needs. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see the positive impact our training has on their business performance and individual growth. I enjoy being a trusted partner and advisor, helping them navigate their learning and development challenges and celebrating their successes. Additionally, developing resources to enhance what we offer our customer is a rewarding part of my role.
What’s most challenging?
Keeping up with the fast-paced nature of the learning and development (L&D) marketplace and the broader commercial environment requires continuous learning and adaptability. The L&D field is constantly evolving with new methodologies, technologies and best practices emerging regularly. Staying updated with these changes and understanding how our products fit into the broader training landscape is crucial. This involves not only keeping abreast of industry trends but also being able to discuss other training initiatives that our customers might be engaged in.
Briefly describe a typical day or week.
On a daily basis, I might be found engaging with customers to understand their specific needs, supporting the sales team with complex inquiries, and ensuring that our training programmes are effectively implemented. I also play a key role in onboarding new customers, maintaining high levels of engagement, and ensuring they see a return on their investment with us. This involves plenty of Teams calls and phone calls throughout the day, as well as recording detailed notes and responding to emails.
What single piece of advice would you give someone to ensure they get the most out of their training with Impellus?
To maximise the benefits of your training with Impellus, it’s crucial to have a clear understanding of your organisation’s broader objectives and goals. Use this knowledge as a guiding tool when planning and identifying your training needs. This approach ensures that your training is aligned with the company’s strategic direction, leading to a greater return on investment.
