PRINCE2 is the world’s leading Project Management qualification.
PRINCE2 will be offered by Impellus from June 2022 after the company was accredited as a provider this week.
What is PRINCE2?
PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is a structured project management methodology and certification programme.
Initially developed by the UK government, the PRINCE2 methods and qualifications were made available through accredited training providers in 2013.
PRINCE2 is now globally recognised as the leading project management qualification and is a pre-requisite for many project management roles.
Who will deliver the Impellus PRINCE2 programmes?
We are delighted to announce Kousar Hussain will be delivering the Impellus PRINCE2 courses and qualifications.
Kousar is a highly experienced and engaging trainer who has been qualifying individuals since the inception of the standard.
She has a depth of project management experience and still works as an external project management advisor to many clients.
These include BT, Maersk and the Metropolitan Police, where she has developed and run a number of projects including the security during the 2012 London Olympics.
What are the PRINCE2 qualifications that are offered?
There are two PRINCE2 qualification types offered and both of those can be taken at two levels; Foundation and Practitioner.
PRINCE2 is the main qualification and is used across all sectors and industries.
PRINCE2 Agile is essentially the same methodology but is more focused towards IT projects and technology.
In both cases the Foundation level ensures competency and shared language, Practitioner provides the highest level of skill and understanding.
What is the format of PRINCE2 courses and qualifications?
Both PRINCE2 and PRINCE2 Agile programmes work in the same way. The Foundation course is offered over three consecutive days with the Practitioner course covering the same days but with an additional day and support being provided to complete the course.
In each case, the final exam is taken after the course at a time to suit the learner.
Courses are held online with a strict limit of twenty delegates per course to ensure a high standard of engagement and learning.
How much do the PRINCE2 qualifications cost and how can I book them?
More news on this is to follow shortly. Full information and dates will appear before the end of June and we anticipate the first course will run towards the end of the summer.
