Easter
For some people Easter means the Bible story of Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection. For others it means chocolate – lots of it! Still others find it to be predominantly about relaxation with family and friends, or time to catch up on DIY projects. And there will be those who dread it as a long, lonely weekend. For most of us it is a combination of several of these things.
Work
For some people work is about developing their career, others take it as an intellectual challenge. For some the important thing is the social interaction with their colleagues. For others it represents endless, unmitigated stress. A few do it only for the money. And most people find it is a combination of several of these things.
Motivation typically comes from giving people more of what is meaningful to them.
Money often isn’t it. A leader’s job is to work out what it is.
