Deb is a qualified journalist and has extensive experience as a copywriter and plain language expert. She worked freelance for many years, providing copywriting and plain language services to a diverse range of organisations including the NHS, GOV.UK, local authorities, private businesses and not-for-profits.
She joined Impellus in May 2023 to take on the role of copywriter and is now busy creating new resources for internal and external use and revisiting older materials to ensure they are in line with brand guidelines and fit for purpose.

The presentation of the course was great and the balance between presentation, getting participation from the group, thinking on our own, and putting us in breakout rooms was good.
We particularly enjoyed learning how to choose the appropriate leadership style according to the situation. We were also able to apply what we had learnt from the courses immediately to our day-to-day work, for example in the Presentation Skills & Techniques course we learnt how to create and present memorable content to engage an audience who have mixed learning styles.
Great to see a basis in research/theory, and then a very clear way of applying that to everyday work situations. The mix of presentation, interaction, small groups, and individual tasks was helpful to process information in different ways.
